Mulloy Wins, Polish Film's Ranking Changes at the Last Moment >>
March 10th 2002

Phil Mulloy's film The Invasion won the Tampere Film Festival's Grand Prix this year. The drama of the competition was heightened surprisingly as the International Jury found out that the Polish film awarded in the Prix UIP Tampere-series was not eglible to participate. The Jury practised swift justice: the results were corrected in a five-minute meeting. The films were sorted in five series, with five jurys. The freshest point of view was offered by the Junior Jury, formed by sixth-form students.

The Junior Jury Favoured Tuukka Hari's film The Dry Dock. After the hard decision-making, lunch was welcome. From the left: Helena Hosionmaa and Anneli Pursiainen.
