19.00    Casual Get Together at Finlandia Hall, Wine & Cheese (free)

Before the actual Conference begins, there is an opportunity to meet other Conference participants in this informal gathering at the Conference venue Finlandia Hall. Participants may also register themselves to the Conference before the evening event from 17.00 onwards.

Monday, June 6th

19.00 - 21.00    Helsinki City Reception at the Helsinki City Hall, Main hall (free)

Helsinki City Reception is held in Helsinki City Hall (address: Pohjoisesplanadi 11-13), which is located in the city center. The easies way to get there is to take a tram (4 or 7B) from Finlandia Hall to the Helsinki City Hall or walk. The reception includes a guided tour and dinner at the Main hall.

Tuesday, June 7th

19.30    Dinner at the Old Student House (free)

The Old Student House was built at 1870 and since that it has been a center of cultural activities of the Univeristy of Helsinki. The Old Student House (address: Mannerheimintie 3) is also located at the city center and the easiest way to get there is to take a tram (4 or 7B) from Finlandia Hall or walk.

Tampere University Singers will entertain the dinner guests.
Tampere University Singers is a mixed student choir, the only one (and by far the best) in the Universty of Tampere. Their repertoire is very flexible, ranging from church music to drinking songs.
